Flor Kaneshiro

Born in La Plata, Argentina, in 1983. She lives in Patagonia, surrounded by lakes and mountains.

She holds a degree in Fine Arts from the National University of La Plata and continued her studies at the University of Arts of the Okinawa Prefectural Government, Japan.

She has illustrated books for publishers such as Grupo Planeta, Periplo, Hwarang, Pastel de Luna, Palabras Aladas, Abresueños, and Brandylane Publishers, among others. She has also collaborated with PlayStation Latin America, Taragüi, and Juegos Maldón, among others.

She is interested in telling stories and collaborating with authors by contributing her own interpretation and point of view. As a descendant of Okinawans, the influence of Eastern art is very strong in her work. Through her artistic practice, she seeks to connect with her roots and integrate them into everyday life.

She works with watercolours and ink, seeking fluid strokes and subtle colour palettes.
